Evergreen Marine Corporation (U.K.) Limited was set up in London on November 2nd, 1979, the companys main responsibility was for Evergreens entire European operations and business development. This function was transferred to Hamburg on January 1st, 1987. After proving itself, Evergreen Marine Corporation (U.K.) Limited was subsequently announced to become the exclusive agent for Evergreen in the U.K. and Ireland. In August 1987, Evergreen Marine Corporation (U.K.) Limited assumed control of its U.K. agency activities and began operating in traditional Evergreen fashion. On the 16th of January 1992, the company was renamed Evergreen U.K. Limited, Headquarters for all Evergreen Offices in Europe. In April 2007, the name was changed to: Evergreen Shipping Agency (U.K.) Limited. Following these changes, on 1st August 2016 Evergreen Shipping Agency (U.K.) Limited has been merged with Evergreen Marine (U.K.) Limited and has continued trading under Evergreen Marine (U.K.) Limited.
