Robot Building Supplies is an Australian owned family business with extensive experience in the supply of building products. The Late Charles Hammond started the business in a tin shed not long after the war; when Melbourne was faced with a shortage in building materials. From these early days of rolling corrugated iron with ingenious methods the company’s philosophy has always been to supply a quality product for a competitive price.
The original tin shed located in Napoleon Street, Collingwood has long gone, replaced with six large conveniently located stores in Sunshine, Preston, Dromana, Pakenham, Coldstream and Notting Hill which is also the company’s head office. All of these stores are able to service the trade and retail customer and offer a next day delivery service for all stock items, anywhere in Melbourne/ Metro areas.
Expansion over the years has led to Robot Building Supplies selling a wide range of metal roofing, cladding, wall paneling, flat board products, structural steel, fibreglass and polycarb sheeting, insulation, timber, rural fencing and rainwater goods. We also pride ourselves on being able to source products not in stock but related to our core business.
With over sixty years of service to the building, fencing, engineering, roofing and cabinet making industries as an Australian owned family business; Robot Building Supplies has built up the product range and the product knowledge to assist you with your building requirements. This large range also gives Robot Building Supplies the buying power to purchase better, thus passing the saving onto you, our customer.
