Your role as a Field Officer is crucial to the ongoing success of our business. You’ll spend a lot of time in the field, networking and building relationships with new and existing clients while mentoring and supporting apprentices and trainees. You will promote Apprentice and Trainee solutions to existing and potential customers in your region. As part of a supportive network of HVTC staff that spans state-wide, this role is responsible for Recruit and select apprentices and trainees for placement and rotation as required. Monitor all placements at least once per quarter, initiating corrective actions as appropriate, making and submitting relevant records on all associated matters. Conduct WHS Inspections and Incident Investigations Provide pastoral care, guidance and support to trainees, apprentices and where relevant to hosts. Report on all activities, leads, issues and so forth. Identify and assess suitable host employers. Promote the Group Training Concept and the services of HVTC. The role will involve a high level of travel around the region and more remote locations as you service a caseload of clients in various industries. With a full case load ready and waiting for the successful applicant, one thing’s for sure – you’ll never be bored. What you’ll bring to the table To be successful in this role, you must be a real people-person who doesn’t mind striking up a conversation. You are results driven and strive to achieve the best outcome for both employers and your apprentices and trainees. To be successful in this role, you will: Have a background in vocational education with a proven track record in relationship building, sales, WHS or recruitment experience preferred; Possess a thorough understanding of recruitment and selection processes; Have exceptional customer service capabilities; Be a flexible, results oriented professional with impeccable personal presentation; Demonstrate solid interpersonal skills with demonstrated high level communication both written and oral; Have strong organisational skills record-keeping abilities.
