As Merchandise Buying Assistant, you’re the glue that holds everything together in a category team. You make it look easy as you juggle multiple activities and tasks across the product lifecycle, in support of your most important stakeholder – your category buyer. Regardless of what’s going on around you, you methodically set about achieving big goals by breaking them down into bite-sized actions, pushing yourself and helping others to deliver.
Working with others comes naturally and you’re as comfortable engaging with senior leaders and suppliers as you are with your team mates, whether in following up tasks for delivery, coordinating supplier funding or taking the lead on a project.
With 1-3 years’ experience in similar role and a solid retail background, you know your way around merchandise systems, from registering products, maintaining product ranges to implementing pricing changes. You’ll also happily roll up your sleeves and support the team allocating orders and following up with suppliers as needed.
