Job role
About the Role
You will provide Program Management support locally as part of the National Program Services Team. Other duties include:
Program management of approximately 150 projects per annum with a capital works value circa $70 million per annum
Provision of informed guidance on the allocation of new projects to appropriate project managers.
Project approvals and governance
Stakeholder consultation for development and delivery of the EWP
Responding to queries within Defence higher management
Deconflicting other Defence Programs with the Estate Works Program
Communications & reporting
Risk management
Governance management
About You
To be successful in the role you will be a long term career focused, highly motivated team player with the following attributes:
Minimum of 5 – 7 years experience in a construction or property role.
Willingness to gain experience in managing a dynamic and large program of diverse maintenance works
Strong stakeholder management and excellent communication skills
Critical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making skills
Operate well in a team environment as well as a high degree of autonomy
Proactive and shows initiative
Australian Citizen with defence sector experience and understanding
Qualifications and Experience:
Degree level qualification in Building, Architecture, Engineering or Building Construction Management.
Excellent MS Office skills
Experience with MS Project Server or P6
Previous experience in the construction/development industry.
Experience working within a large consulting environment would be highly regarded but not essential along with industry specific training in contracts, procurement, PMBOK or PRINCE2 processes.
