As the Oracle Fusion Middleware Specialist you'll provide complex solution design and implementation, technical maintenance and support services to our customer base.
You'll be responsible for executing an "automation first" culture, reviewing the ongoing usage of relevant technologies, and participating in the development of future thinking strategies and roadmaps for Technology Operations that aligns with our Datacom Group strategy while meeting current and future customer requirements.
Your responsibilities:
Administer, troubleshoot and maintain Middleware instances, associated products and integrations across all supported environments.
Administer the on-going operation of Middleware instances, associated products and integrations for Datacom and our customers by adhering to production regimes.
Design, build and implement Middleware systems to agreed specifications.
Create or provide input into High Level and Detailed Designs as requested.
Provide input into or creation of Statements of Work (SoW) with accurate and realistic timeframes.
Accurate delivery of services, on time and to budget.
Understanding and delivering of all artefacts required for Project to BAU handover
Initiate and drive service and process improvement.
Initiate and drive automation to efficiently deploy and manage Middleware systems.
Your skills:
Knowledge and skills in one or more other Middleware technologies.
High level of initiative, time management and self-confidence along with strong verbal and written communication skills is important.
Ability to be proactive and perform preventative maintenance when necessary
Skill in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
Strong troubleshooting skills
Skills in communicating effectively orally and in written format
Scripting and automation skills.

It would also be highly desirable to have:
Your experience:
Hands on experience managing, installing and configuring single and cluster Middleware instances on different OS versions (Windows, Linux, Solaris, HP-Unix)
Experience with complex Middleware projects. (migrations, upgrades, re-platforms, high availability and DR)
Working in cloud environments such as Oracle Cloud, AWS etc.
Adheres to established security policies and standards of both our customers and Datacom.
Middleware platform creation and tune DB, instance parameters as per business requirement
Use of 3rd party monitoring tools to configure the database platform monitoring.
Tuning Middleware parameters for optimal database performance.
Configuration of Middleware backup with different backup solution. Perform backup restore and system recovery.
