Your role To maintain optimum capability the Air Force needs the right people with the right skills in sufficient numbers to deliver the required air power. In this senior human resources role you'll be charged with supporting that need. You will be responsible for the generation and sustainment of personnel, as well as their welfare. Wherever the Air Force deploys, you will be one of the first on the ground, managing human resources. Following training it's likely you will commence work as a Unit Staff Officer Personnel, however, this would only be a part of a diverse and challenging career. Some of the roles you may perform in the Air Force include: Staff Officer Personnel - with a wide variety of responsibilities including human resource and complex case management, information and knowledge management, internal and external corporate communication, financial budgeting, reporting and governance tasks. Personnel Operations - identifying, preparing and supporting personnel from across the Air Force or the wider ADF to deploy on operations. Strategic Communication - planning and executing internal and external communication strategies, and getting involved with PR and media liaison, events and community engagement activities. Workforce Development and Review - responsible for workforce planning, effecting organisational change and assisting commanders and their personnel to adapt to change. Staff Officer to Commanders - providing specialist advice as well as undertaking a number of roles unique to the deployed environment, including civil-military cooperation and host nation liaison, key leader engagement and public information activities.
