The Role
As the Category Quality Manager, you will lead and develop a team of Quality Partners to deliver safe and reliable products through the NPD process ensuring BIG W has safe, quality and compliant products within specification.
In this role, you will also continually monitor and review & simplify all processes across the BIG W Quality, Buying, Sourcing and Design teams to ensure all team members are up-to-date with current process and guidelines.
Reporting into the Head of QA & Customer Care , you will:
Be responsible for the management of QA processes which ensure the quality and safety of BIG W hardgoods products
Lead and manage the supplier excellence program within BIG W supplier base
Lead, develop and inspire a QA team working closely with our Asia operations
Continuously improve the QA processes to deliver end to end simplification
Focus on customer first
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following core experience:
A minimum of 5 years experience in QA team management, systems and processes
Strong influencing skills - ability to positively engage with others and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
Customer focused
A passion for leadership and developing talent
Retail experience prefered
