Job role
About the Role
Use your housekeeping skills in a role in which you can really make a difference – ensuring our residents have clean and hygienic laundry including bedding, clothing and general linen, all whilst providing our residents with a compassionate and empathetic approach.
Duties
Sorting through soiled and dirty linen – separating by fabric, cleaning techniques or dirt content
Loading cleaning machines, washers and dryers
Sort and count linen as removed from dryers
Hang, fold and wrap linen as required
Ironing and operating machinery
Maintaining legislated workplace health and safety practices
Ad hoc support to the broader team as required, including catering and cleaning
Skills and Experience
Ideally Cert III Hospitality, but not essential
Previous experience gained in a similar role, aged care experience highly regarded but not essential
Ability to stand for long periods of time and manage labour intensive tasks
Ensure production targets are maintained
Must have a current national police certificate or be willing to complete a criminal history check
Must have flexible availability for a variety of shifts throughout the week, including weekends and evenings
