About the role
Markets COO is the central point of coordination for regulatory, administration and strategic issues facing the business. Roles and responsibilities of the team include: coordination between business and first line and second line functions; keeping the markets business and our clients safe by meeting our regulatory obligations and ensuring continual uplift of regulatory, risk and controls for markets; optimising how the markets business operates through the transformation portfolio; and defining and driving the execution of the markets business strategy.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Director role will focus on a number of key areas that will enable NAB Markets to uplift how it does business across both market risk and compliance support and markets change risk support.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Advising, enabling and ensuring that Markets is adhering to best practice for managing risk and compliance requirements
Supporting the business and acting as key conduit between 1st & 2nd line teams to ensure best practice risk and compliance standards are both implemented and maintained.
Implement key learnings to ensure continuous improvement across the business.
Supporting the Markets business, Divisional Controls and second-line Risks teams with oversight for Markets Change Risk.
Provide an overview of change pipeline, assisting with reporting (e.g. Markets Risk Committee) and supporting business risk mitigation strategies.
Support Markets new product approval process by working with key stakeholders to deliver robust end-to-end solutions.
Support Markets for best practice for risk, and compliance requirements
Ensure Program risks (compliance, operational, credit, market, conduct etc) are appropriately mitigated (through controls), and managed as part of BAU transition.
