About the role
UGL have a number of positions available for Project Engineers to join our TasWater CDO programs team.
As the Mehcanical Project Engineer you are responsible for effectively coordinating the design, supply and construction of designated elements within the project to ensure those elements are delivered in accordance with the technical requirements whilst also meeting safety, quality, environmental, schedule, budget and scope objectives.
The primary challenge of this position is to ensure the projects are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner to meet contractual arrangements made with the client.
Assist the Project Manager to ensure the project delivery is executed according to the CDO Management System
Manage and mentor a team of electrical project, site and graduate engineers and supervisors
Review and plan the project with the Project Manager to ensure works are executed in line with project milestones
Ensure technical objectives of the project are being met and identify and resolve technical problems
Monitor the project schedule and work alongside the project supervisor(s) to ensure works are being executed in line with the project schedule
Provide a focal point for all technical based queries for associated subcontractors / suppliers
Liaise with the Senior Project Engineer regarding schedule issues and status of activities
Preparation of all project execution planning documentation including Construction Area Plans, Work Activity Packs, Inspection and Test Plants etc.
