Job Description
About the opportunity
ADF Health Services Contract provides integrated and seamless end-to-end health support to 85,000 Australia Defence Force (ADF) personnel across 59 facilities. This includes integrated workforce providing health services such as primary and occupational healthcare, dental, physiotherapy, mental health and psychology services, pharmacy, occupational rehabilitation and health administration. As well pathology, imaging and radiology, vocational rehabilitation, mental health, hospital, specialist, allied health, patient transport and other off base services enabled by Bupa systems.
This opportunity has created the need for a Quality Support Officer to join the team. This newly created role will play a key role in supporting the Quality Assurance Lead to develop, implement and maintain a quality framework across the business. You will assist with achieving and maintaining ISO 9001:2015 certification for our ADF Health Services Contract, along with Work Health & Safety system support. This role can be based in either our Melbourne or Brisbane BUPA offices, when not working from home.
How will I help?
Key Accountabilities Include
Assist the Quality Assurance Lead in ongoing maintenance of the Quality plan and Quality objectives (Data gathering, analysis and reporting to support continuous improvement as required)
Assist staff to ensure all reported incidents, complaints and compliments are entered into the incident management system and actioned
Perform quality functions including policy and procedure writing, inspection and testing of process controls
Assist with internal and external audit programs including conducting audits, documenting and or reviewing audit reports
Assist with monitoring and maintaining certification to Australian Standard AS/NZS 4801 (Occupational Work Health & Safety) and support the transition to the International Safety Standard ISO450001
Administration duties including, minute/action/decision taking reporting on follow-up actions, drafting of correspondence and assist with meeting coordination

What do I need?
This role would suit someone who has at least 2 years+ experience with Work health and Safety (WHS) systems, Quality Management Systems (QMS), policies and procedures, internal audit programs and incident management programs. You will have proven experience of achieving deadlines in a high volume, with high levels of accuracy. Previous experience with ADF or a background in health is advantageous
Specifically, You Have
ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management system and Work Health & Safety Foundation qualifications
Can demonstrate an ability to synthesize multiple inputs to produce insights and articulate these succinctly in PowerPoint and Excel
Advanced Excel skills, including use of complex formulae and macros
Experience developing and maintaining reporting and dashboards
Excellent organisational and communication/interpersonal skills with the ability to distil complex information
Ability to work autonomously and take accountability for deliverables and outcomes
You must be an Australian citizen and be able to attain and maintain a baseline security clearance from the Defence security and vetting service.
